Why do hidden rocks and old concrete walls follow us from house to house? A simple transfer of a pot plant
results in brute force to dislodge said offender. No that is not my leg doing the hard slog, I needed to take the photo.
This frangipani is finally placed in the earth after three years in a pot while living in our 'between house' ie. before purchasing and renovating this house (for the last 7 months and counting). Poor thing is bare but rest assured there are shoots appearing and spring is just around the corner.
A few trailer loads of potted plants were transferred, among them some maiden-hair fern. In my experience the best method of raising ferns is to place in a shady spot, water occasionally and generally neglect said plant. Others may disagree but whenever I have nurtured a fern it's little ends curl up and it goes straight to the big fernery in the sky.
All this activity was too much for The Boss.
Hope your Saturday was a good one.

Hmmmm, I still have to go to Safari to log in to your blog to be able to comment.
ReplyDeleteThe Blogger Gods are really weird.
So, if you see my reply to you, you will note Mr iT - who's leg is featured in your post today, comes very highly recommended to my readers.
Maiden Hair fern actually thrives at my place - which proves they really do need neglect and ignoring.
Love
Lou now with one arm!

I agree with Tess about the gardening.
