A Pleasant Saturday Afternoon

Mr red roses and I ventured out for a walk along the Brisbane River today. Sunny, warm, hard to believe it's winter.
Huge redevelopment of the commercial port area has seen mega expensive apartments springing up.
Our beloved pooch enjoys a stroll although her advancing years are catching her up so when she lags behind she is scooped up and carried. Bless her.
A stop for bruschetta and coffee afterwards was in order before heading home.
All in all a pleasant Saturday afternoon enjoying the delights of our city.

A Lazy New Years Day

How did you spend your New Years Day?
Our day was fairly easy going.
A few chores in the morning then a leisurely stroll along the river in the afternoon.
A cool breeze was blowing and our meander was incredibly pleasant.

Sitting by the river taking in the sights of river craft, people watching and contemplating the new year. Mr red roses and I have many plans/resolutions afoot and I do ponder if we bite off more than we can chew but that's how we've always approached life. Occasionally the plans don't eventuate...flexibility is our mantra.

This little post is the first on my new laptop. Usually I roll them out on a desktop computer in the study but was feeling rather cut off from the family and not terribly inspired sitting looking at a wall. Maybe this was bad Feng Shui?
So here I sit gazing at the gorgeous tree tops from my deck, listening to bird song and feeling enthusiastic about my blogging journey in 2012. I still have no definite path for the blog other to enjoy myself in the process and not over think the content. My only criteria is publishing photos I'm happy with and hopefully not bore the socks off you, my lovely readers!

Are your plans for twenty twelve still in development or set in concrete?
