Just one problem...the hem length.
Ladies in my age bracket who love a pretty summer frock and desire a decent length, preferably to at least the knee are waging an uphill battle. My days of sporting a almost mini are long gone. And please note I'm not singling out any particular brands here, just seems to be a trend of rather high hemlines becoming the norm.
Do you find it near impossible to hunt and gather a suitable design offering an appropriate length?
Or is this predicament only my dilemma every summer?
Another of my favourite brands is the above and I trotted off to secure this little beauty the other day. Lo and behold the lovely and extremely helpful shop assistant informed me this style was super popular and just walked out the door upon delivery. I gasped 'but it's not even spring and I've only just spied this design on the website and and and'. None left in the universe (or maybe it was the state, can't remember my eyes had glazed over).
So a lesson I learnt was 'get with the program Annie' and join mailing lists and be one step ahead and ready to pounce when a desired hem length is all important.
Off now to finish leafing through the mag and reminisce of the good old days when I sported the pins of a sinewy dancer....
