New trainers, new walking routine, which just happens to involve rising early (I'm so not a natural early riser type personality) and renewed focus on getting fit and strong.
Plus, and this is big new territory for me...ta da drum roll please...I have conceded defeat and signed up for Facebook, with the help of my daughter otherwise I wouldn't be past first base!
I had made a declaration to never venture into the realms of FB but decided I was scared of taking the plunge and I should just try it out and then form an opinion. The thought is not lost on me that being involved with several forms of social media there is inevitably overlapping of news and photos but I'll feel my way and see where it leads.
A link is installed over on the sidebar and I have to tell you this was set up just this morning and I basically have little idea what I'm doing! Hilarious..kind of.
Never say Never..my new mantra.
Annie xx
You go girl! I'm easing into an afternoon walk. Xx
ReplyDeleteHow are you managing being back at the coal face TDM?
DeleteNot so good. We've dropped it back to 3 hours, 3 days a week. Too much too soon xx
DeleteHappy trails to you...
ReplyDeleteand good for you to get more exposure on FB.
I know you enjoy walking also Hostess, doesn't this activity make one feel invigorated, tired but invigorated all at once!
DeleteAll very enterprising! Just in time for springtime, I should do the same! (after this week that is). Mxx
ReplyDeleteWell up here it's practically spring !
DeleteWalking is Wonderful, thoroughly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteOff to see if I can Facebook you now! xx
Oh clever you Patricia for being a knowledgable FB person, might come to you for tips!
DeleteGood on you for taking the walking and FB plunges! You might actually like Facebook- I don't use it to its full potential ( I have to keep it private as a condition of employment- not that I would have anything bad on there!) it can be extremely handy at times, I know people who, when they can't contact their kids, write on their walls- they soon make contact or answer their phones!
ReplyDeleteNot sure my adult kids would let me be their 'friend' lol.
DeleteWell done, I am loving your asics, a girls best friend. As for facebook. I joined but I still dont get it. I will pop over and like you though.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it either Deb but it's only been one day so I'll hang in there foe a while and see if I can decipher it all.
DeleteI love walking, but I'm with you on early starts!Hope you enjoy yourself. I've never bothered with FB or Twitter etc, looking forward to seeing what you make of it.
ReplyDeleteI must have tea and toast before I head out the door or I couldn't face the walk!
DeleteGood for you on the walking, I love walks too, so healthy and calming. I don't do FB, let us know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteHi Dani, lovely to see you. I'll keep folk updated with the FB journey, surely it can't be that difficult to sort out, then again it's a bit like a map and I'm not that great with maps!
DeleteI'm not into Facebook (don't agree with their politics, worried about ethics, blabla ...) but recently registered on Twitter and still haven't used it ! I'm worried that suddenly all this is going to take all my free time ! Good for you on the walking bit, it is the best fitness program !xx
ReplyDeleteI agree SB and this was one of many reasons I resisted until I discovered I could set up a public site linked to my blog so anything I post on FB won't be more sensitive than content I would blog about. One must set up a private account first but I will never use it.
DeleteHa! Just started FB too.. I haven't been keeping it up. Blogging takes up so much time. I'm so impressed with your new commitment to better health through exercise :) I love to walk with my dogs.. I'm a very slow jogger :)
ReplyDeleteI fear I may never truly understand FB! I have to leave my elderly dog at home to get a good power walk in so I take her out at dusk for a leisurely amble around the block.
DeleteI hope you enjoy your new walking routine! I am definitely not a morning person either... It's so hard for me to get up for work everyday, haha! And welcome to Facebook! I joined in college and I've been addicted ever since. :)
ReplyDeleteOur dog pesters me to let her out at 6am so instead of diving back into bed for a snooze I decided to stay up now and go for a walk. It's hard at first but am getting in a routine.
DeleteI mostly do FB to keep in touch with long-distance people. Hope the walking routine is enjoyable for you.
ReplyDeleteSo far so good with the walking LR, listening to music on the iPod helps.
DeleteSo proud of you. Facebook and walking. Who are you? Get that whiteboard out.
ReplyDeleteA-M xx
Ha ha I know. It's the getting up early bit that has me saying 'who am I'
Deleteseeing you are a fellow Xmas baby thought I should drop in . Love the self gifting in September idea
ReplyDeleteHi smr, thanks for popping in. Terrible isn't it this Xmas birthday biz so yes we need to look after ourselves I reckon!
DeleteDear dear Annie - my laptop ist kaput and I have hardly been online at all. I miss you horribly! Will read through your recent posts asap. I LOVE your gorgeous trainers and I'm sure having such stunning footwear will make it a teeny bit easier to rise at dawn and lace them on. Good luck with the facebook thing and the walking regime - you are never dull! xxxxx
ReplyDeleteHello Mrs E, that is one of the nicest things anyone has said to me...'you are never dull'. Thank you!
DeleteWalking is fabulous but by golly I'm tired.
