How did you spend your New Years Day?
Our day was fairly easy going.
A few chores in the morning then a leisurely stroll along the river in the afternoon.
A cool breeze was blowing and our meander was incredibly pleasant.

Sitting by the river taking in the sights of river craft, people watching and contemplating the new year. Mr red roses and I have many plans/resolutions afoot and I do ponder if we bite off more than we can chew but that's how we've always approached life. Occasionally the plans don't eventuate...flexibility is our mantra.
This little post is the first on my new laptop. Usually I roll them out on a desktop computer in the study but was feeling rather cut off from the family and not terribly inspired sitting looking at a wall. Maybe this was bad Feng Shui?
So here I sit gazing at the gorgeous tree tops from my deck, listening to bird song and feeling enthusiastic about my blogging journey in 2012. I still have no definite path for the blog other to enjoy myself in the process and not over think the content. My only criteria is publishing photos I'm happy with and hopefully not bore the socks off you, my lovely readers!
Are your plans for twenty twelve still in development or set in concrete?
Annie xx
My plans are always in development! Looks like a lovely day.

Hello Annie
ReplyDeleteI know you will love your laptop, it gives freedom.
My resolutions include to try and do some good each day and to be more grateful
Helen xx
Hi Annie,
ReplyDeleteI love your resolutions.
The best advice about writing I have ever heard? Be true and persevere. Which sounds exactly like 0what you are doing.
Just found your kitchenaid purchase. Congrats. I got an almond one this year! Of course I love it.
Helen.. I adore the laptop already and I very much like your 2012 resolutions
ReplyDeletePaddy.. thanks P, I'm no writer but will persevere. All hail the mighty KA, loving mine to bits too!
What a pleasant New Year's Day ..
ReplyDeleteThe Red Cardinals went bush and took the 91 year old for a country drive and bush cuppa, having first treated him to McDonalds!!! He enjoyed the experience, as a change from his regular delivered healthy diet! I think he felt a bit naughty.
Just told my family this morning that my 2012 resolution is to acquire a laptop for on-the-road blogging. Great minds think alike :-)
Patricia.. that's gorgeous, I'd love to sneak in Chinese take-away for my Mum!
ReplyDeleteFinding the laptop brilliant and it's only a inexpensive model I bought purely for blogging and photo files.
Happy new year Annie. Your photos of your river walk are lovely - it's nice to see this city from behind someone else's lens.
ReplyDeleteI have some plans for 2012 rather than resolutions. I call them plans so that they don't sound quite so serious!

Beth.. the wonder of photography hey Beth. Everyone catches different aspects to tell their own story
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a very nice New Year's Day! I love relaxing from time to time and just taking it easy. There's nothing like taking a walk on a warm day with the one you love.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Beautiful photos but I am biased these are scenes from my daily walk! You have really captured the mood and scenery of the area.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Morgan.. this new years day was one of my favourites because we relaxed
ReplyDeleteClaire.. hi and thanks for popping in. Lucky you! If I ever move into an apartment this is where I dream of living. Love the area..floods and all
