Leaping out of my Comfort Zone

I am taking a leap, holding my breath and jumping out of my comfort zone with my blog layout and the direction of Red Roses and Crystal.
For some time I have struggled with the previous formats and needed to experiment with different styles. As in life I prefer to keep things simple and strive to maintain simplicity in any task I delve into. An over abundance of peripheral stuff is not for me. My aim is for clean crisp lines and a pared back approach to this blog.
After serving a seven month apprenticeship I have learnt tons and now wish to stretch myself and follow the path which makes me comfortable.

Previously I've expressed a desire to concentrate on photography on my little blog, well that is going to be my focus in the future. I have inherited a rather (well for me anyway) flash camera from my son and am still learning how it operates and while I hold no illusions whatsoever about my photographic abilities my heart is telling me to have faith and give it a whirl.
In other words my dear friends you lot are going to be my guinea pigs!

Once upon a time I was a creative soul and this side of my personality is again hankering to be recognised. I may fall flat on my face but I've always liked a challenge and dancing to my own beat so I am determined to enjoy this journey of self-discovery and see where the path leads.

  3. More than happy to be your guinea pig, and look forward to your new direction. I tried your pull down menus at the top, and found lots of nice surprises! Time I tried again to change mine, just need to grab a knowledgable son.
That is such a lovely photo; bring em on!

  6. I think anything that feeds our creative juices is a good idea. The simpler look will suit your detailed images.
Blogging is meant to be a fun and personal process so we'll watch while you evolve your personal style.
