Morning Tea and a Pretty Chair

Today a friend and I enjoyed a lovely morning at the WAC.
Coffee, tea and cakes in the retro cafe were consumed after wandering through the myriad of shops looking for treasures.

I purchased a sweet chair from Sandy's shop 'Paint me White'

I spied this telephone on my wanderings through the antique centre and remember when my parents bought one of these trendy (at the time) telephones when I was a child. I thought I had the grooviest parents!

And here is the quaint fold-up chair in the shade I'm loving right now. I placed it in my living room for now but do feel it is the perfect size and design to be situated anywhere in my home.

Much fun was had playing around with cushions and books and best of all it will be a versatile addition to my home.
Thanks Sandy, your wares are lovely and so very reasonably priced.

Isn't it fun bringing a new furniture addition into one's abode?

Annie xx

  1. You're so lucky - where I live, there's nothing like the WAC. That's a pretty little chair you picked up, I love the colour!

  2. Oh what a lovely day out, and your chair is the perfect find. You simply cannot have enough of these - they are so darn useful, and this is such a pretty paint effect. We have a roll-top bath that you can't put anything on, so one of these chairs nearby is ideal to keep your gin & tonic handy LOL! Any other uses? xxx

    2. Oh good grief I'll start again...am getting chairs and ginger jars confused.
Yes the chair looks right at home near the plantation shutters.

  7. I forgot to tell you that we have started the deck renovation! We (as in C) have already switched over the railings to nice marine wire and the builders will be raising and angling the roof and putting brand spanking new solar span on it! It already looks five times bigger with the new railings! We (again I mean C - I project managed) also changed a few light fittings and put up some shelves - I LOVE home improvements! You little chair is lovely!

    1. Bravo L & C you are now well and truly on the road to home improvement domestic bliss!
Marine wire will open up the area beautifully and top marks for installing solar.
Last week we had solar installed. Great minds.

  9. Hello Annie, Isn't Sandy's shop lovely, the nicest one in the WAC. And I spy you in Sandy's mirror - very clever photographer! The blue chair is perfect for your house, and beautifully painted like all Sandy's things. The retro cafe at WAC is fun, too. Hope you are enjoying the long weekend. xxx

    1. Well spotted Patricia because I didn't realise my reflection was captured, that was not cleverness, purely a fluke!
Sandy does a superb job that's for sure.

    1. I certainly remember the old dial up versions M, in fact several of those were at the centre too. Interesting what people find collectable.
