You Never Know What Waits Around The Corner....

Many of you will be waiting to read and see photos of my trip to New York.
Unfortunately this post is not the pre travel musings I envisaged before we took to the skies this weekend.
Our trip has been cancelled for now, my darling mum is seriously ill. How do I feel? I fluctuate between torrents of tears to happiness she may finally be released to join my Dad in heaven.
Already my body has switched to coping mode, I have travelled this path before...of watching and waiting and praying for a beloved parent.

Take care...

Annie xx

  6. Dear Annie, I am so so sorry to read this sad and difficult news. It is amazing how we go into that coping mode, and somehow know what to do. As the saying goes, God works in mysterious ways, and it seems the decision is that, for now, it is best that you stay here with your Mum and hold her hand. New York will be the sweeter when you finally get there at a later date. Meanwhile, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, Much love xxx

  8. It's a hard time for you all. Take care and be kind to yourself. I too have walked that path of praying for the 'release'. The most important thing is to just be there with her- for both yourself and your mum- and you are doing that. All my best wishes.

  12. Oh Annie,
my heart goes out to you at this time. I have been on this path also a few years ago.
Time with your mum is more important than anything at the moment. You will cherish the days, hours and minutes with her in the future. It is a time of release for you both.
Tell her how much you love her and the release will be joyous memory. Keep us updated. My very best thoughts and wishes at this time.
